Veste in Passau & innercity Passau
Passau, located in southeastern Germany at the confluence of the Danube, Inn, and Ilz rivers, is known as the "City of Three Rivers." Its picturesque old town features baroque architecture, influenced by Italian craftsmen. Popular with river cruise tourists, Passau offers charming streets, historic sites like Veste Oberhaus fortress, and scenic river views. Its proximity to the Austrian border and the Danube cycling route also make it a hub for outdoor enthusiasts.

ABOUT
The BYND Castle Ride: this is where outdoor sport meets urban space and creates meeting places for athletes, amateur athletes, spectators and pedestrians. Four disciplines, three days and a unique location - the historic Veste Oberhaus and the old town of Passau are transformed into a cycling world for one weekend. The "E-Scend" is the professional E-MTB Race with Up- & Downhill sections which means an action-packed highlight. Three other competitions in the disciplines "Road Bike" and "Cyclocross/Gravel" are open to everyone and, thanks to their unique character, are absolute highlights in the supra-regional events. Cultural parts in the evening round off the weekend and make the event accessible to an even wider audience.
